Exploring Bangkok- Roast Coffee & Eatery (24 November 2013)

This time, we try their brunch menu at Roast Coffee & Eatery, there is indoor and outdoor seating. I have to admit that the food is very tasty and good coffee and would recommend everyone to come here for breakfast and brunch menu. The waiting time is about 20-30 minutes depend on the timing too. The price range is from 200-400 baht for each brunch dish, dinner dish is more expensive (400-500 baht). Overall is worth to come here to try their food.

Exploring Bangkok- Grass Suites at Thong Lor (23 November 2013)

We went to Bangkok again to relax for awhile but this time the journey is longer than we expected as there is traffic jam due to the protest. At first we thought is a concert as we saw people singing on the stage and not protesting. Sorry for our ignorance.

This time, we are staying at Grass Suites at Thong Lor Soi 12. It is like a small village with pub, restaurant, salon and aesthetic clinic and hotel in one area. It is about 20 min walk from the BTS, you can walk and explore the restaurants and bridal shops along the way.

The room look nice at first, after awhile, you will realize the room is lack of maintenance (ceiling with paint peeling off, bathroom shower curtain is old) and there is a lot of mosquito. I will not recommend to stay at this hotel.

When it reach night time, this area is a different world as people dress up for their party night and is so crowded.

Exploring Kanchanaburi- HuaHong Coffee and Tea House

Went to this HuaHong Coffee and Tea House for a coffee wtih Jah. The interior of this 100 year old building is so oldie and special. They has conserved the building appearance with oldie touch and feel. We have tried their cake, is super tasty.

My thought

Looking back the life I have at Kanchanaburi, I have realised that the life of the local is very poor, their living condition as compared to Singapore is very bad.

Their salary per day rage from 150 baht to 300 baht ($6- $12 Sgd). They have to work from day to night to survive and support their family and they could not afford to make mistakes. Once I saw a car accident that the local drove without checking the traffic, because of his carelessness he has to compensate several thousands baht. In his eye, I could see sadness and regret on his action.

I have to admit that life in Singapore is good, safe and better but the living expenditure is very high that we have to work hard to avoid making mistakes to get fired by our bosses.

People may envy me for not working but I envy people who is working now as I miss working. In order to keep myself occupied, I started to blog, cook and learn new thing.
