Summer Moments in Thailand: Exploring Bangkok- Asiatique, Chatuchak market and Dean & Deluca (25 May 2013)

Is exploring Bangkok time. this time we are staying at The Heritage Hotels Baan Silom for 2 nights, about 15 minutes walk to the nearest BTS "Surasak". It is a small boutique hotel with several services (salon, spa, restaurants, even Naraya Boutique and Bridal shop) near the hotel.

As the breakfast is very very simple, we decided to skip their breakfast for 2 days and went to Dean & Deluca at BTS " Chong Nosi" Exit 3. Have to say that the ambience of the place is better than Singapore, is a stand alone building with high ceiling and glass facade.

After our breakfast, we went to Chatuchak weekend Market (alight at BTS "Mo Chit"). The weather is really killing us, so we decided to look for the Coconut ice cream and fruit juice cafe. Shopping at Chatuchak, please bring fan and water.

For us, we shop at our favorite section 2 and 3 of the market only as is the most hip area, is a must to go.

Please also try the coconut ice cream (30 Baht) near the MRT area (near section 2).

As the weather is killing us, we also went for our mix fruit shake at one of the cafe.

After Chatuchak, we went for a short break at Silom Complex and went to After you Dessert Cafe. This time we decided to try their Chocolate Toast Banana, love it...

After that, we went back to our hotel for a nap before we headed to Asiatique The Riverfront. You can take to BTS "Saphan Taksin" and take their shuttle boat (free) or express boat (20 baht). Asiatique is more of a dine and chill place than a shopping area as their item can be find at Chatuchak market and is more expensive. Can give it a miss if you have no time.
